BEHIND THE SCREEN
Who am I?
Hey, I’m Victoria — the person behind ViridianK9s
My journey with dogs began in my early twenties when I started dog sitting and walking. Spending time with so many different breeds and personalities opened my eyes to how unique every dog truly is — their quirks, their communication, and the quiet lessons they teach us when we really take the time to listen.
That experience sparked a much deeper curiosity in me. I became fascinated by how breed fulfilment, body language, communication, and overall health and nutrition all work together to shape a dog’s behaviour and wellbeing. This curiosity has led me to begin studying canine behaviour, breed-specific fulfilment, and canine health, deepening my understanding of how to support both dog and owner in a holistic way.
In my own dog ownership, I take a holistic and balanced approach to training — one that recognises every dog and handler as individuals. My focus is always on building trust, clarity, and confidence through communication, not control. I believe tools can be used ethically and thoughtfully to support understanding — never to overpower or shut down the dog.
ViridianK9s was created from this passion — a space built on connection, understanding, and community. My goal is to help others find balance and fulfilment with their dogs, just as I have with mine.

Dog Walking & Sitting
During my time with BorrowMyDoggy, I had the opportunity to walk and care for a wide variety of dogs, from terriers to large working breeds. That experience gave me invaluable hands-on understanding of different temperaments, body language, and needs.
Neutral Group Walks
As a Neutral Walk Leader for Honest Hounds, I organised and guided structured group walks that focused on supporting reactive and sensitive dogs. These walks created a safe, calm environment where owners could practise space management, confidence-building, and engagement around other dogs.
External Education
As someone who’s continuously learning, I regularly attend seminars, webinars, workshops to expand my knowledge and training with my own dog, staying up to date with new approaches and insights in dog training and behaviour. I’m also actively seeking mentorships that align with my ethos.
Hands-On Experience
Over time, owners began reaching out for training support after seeing the progress in my own dog and through word of mouth between friendships. Being trusted to help others has been incredibly rewarding and has led me to offer structured obedience classes, social pack walks, board-and-train, and day-train sessions.
