ViridianK9s is a volunteer and owner-led community built on the belief that true dog training starts with understanding, communication, and trust. We take a holistic, relationship-based approach that values the connection between dog and handler — where progress, health, and communication come first.

Born from the passion that training should always be owner-led, ViridianK9s was created to empower handlers to make choices that feel right for them and their dogs. We believe that how you choose to train is your decision — our role is to support, guide, and help you build a stronger bond, not dictate one way of doing things.

We’re not for or against tools; we recognise that every dog and handler team is unique, and that some teams may benefit from tools and others may not. At ViridianK9s, we believe that tools should always be used ethically, with the dog’s welfare, health, comfort, and understanding at the heart of every choice. Here, we’re strong believers that there’s more than one way to your goal, that dog training isn’t a one size that fits all.
